I was thinking recently that I and Ruhollah Khomeini, first Rahbar of Iran, have a lot in common. During time of Shah Ruhollah lived in exile. Shah's regime disliked Ruhollah as reactionary and wanted to suppress his views from Iran. Despite that Ruhollah continued to preach his views to the population from safety of nearby Iraq.
That continued until Iranian Revolution. Fed up public overthrew Shah and made Ruhollah a Supreme Leader (Rahbar) of the new Iran. Suddenly a former disliked reactionary was now a moral and spiritual leader.
I myself frequently oppose many of modern (woke and progressive) trends in my blogs. I too am disliked and banned by various websites as reactionary. Like Ruhollah I am a scholarly type of person who spends time reading and writing. Just like him I think current society is wrong and want to change it. I too aspire to become someone like a Supreme Leader, and I do hope that I will lead society towards better life that what we currently have.
