Virgo is like more evolved Taurus, that is more flexible and adaptive compared to the bull, but fundamentally they are of the same nature.
Because Virgo is ruled by cunning Mercury, they are able to present Air like qualities and confuse Air signs of their true nature. Even Virgo's symbol: the girl, looks like those of Air signs. Other signs have animals, but Air signs are all human. Virgo is fake Air sign.
However, Virgo is Earth sign, so they reflect this basic Earth Nature that they share with Taurus and Capricorn.
