It still theoretical in real life. As of now you cannot have a GitS style body or even ID-0 style body. However potential is still there. That is like an infinite mine of opportunities. ID-0 style in particular. You can use giant robot body for as much as you like and then go back to your normal one when you done. If robot body is destroyed then you can simply get a new one. If biological body is destroyed or lost, then you can continue to exist in robot body and as a engram in the network. You will never be gone. Cool, isn't it. Of course you can do it wrong like Junker Gnomes from WoW, where it is just a cultural thing for them to technolise and it does not bring any real benefit. Junker Gnomes are stupid kind of transhumanism, ID-0 is a smarty kind of transhumanism.
