Money issues absorbed all the thoughts and efforts.
People around are poor and desperate. You do not want to talk to them for safety reason. You never know what kind of nutcase on drugs or just nutcase they might turn out to be. Even if they are not really dangerous you do not want to risk it.
You do not want to deal with women as feminism and 2010s culture simply made them unappealing and un-dateable.
Thus all that is left is anime, youtube and porn.
As well as nostalgia on how things were better in late 90s and 2000s or when Reagan was President.
It is not us who has mental issues, it is that world gone insane, and we do not want anything to do with it anymore.
