On Modern Titanomachy

Out of Greek myth I am more interested in Titanomachy, a war between generations of gods where younger gods prevailed.

I would say that this era is the era where new world order replaces the old one. And destiny of our Millennial generation is to transcend the past and advance into the future.

It is about how the world will change/already change but with new technology. There is talk about the Information Age that replaces the previous Industrial Age. 

Back before the Industrial Age in the 18th century, the world was very different from how it became in the 19th and 20th. There were no widespread factories back then, or traditional by modern standards employment. This tradition became so only during the 19th and 20th centuries. "The way things always were" actually not always were like that at all, but came into being around the year 1800.

In the same way how factory methods of production fundamentally changed how the world works, the internet is fundamentally changing how the world works at this very moment.

SEL if about this world of the future/present that is increasingly out reality. Reality to which society has to wake up and adapt. I think society throughout the world is just stubbornly digging heels into outdated thinking and desperately attempting to preserve things as they were. Just like that Bourbon restoration period after the French Revolution. Their efforts were futile, and the world still moved on into the future.

I think it is ridiculous to attempt saving that past so many seem to cherish so dearly. I in contrast want it to be swept away into a dustbin of history so that a new future. Our Millennial future can finally begin to grow and flourish in place of the old sclerotic world.

I am a person of a future era who has no sympathy for how things were in the 20th century.

All this chaos and confusion in politics is an attempt by the past to cling to its fading existence. And to confuse and mislead us from finally slaying it for good.

However, what is most important is that this cluttering past slowly kills us. To quote Revolutionary Girl Utena anime, this anime is mostly about other topics such as deconstruction of love or projection of illusions. However this quote is about the future: "Chick will die if it cannot break its shell. We, the Millennial generation, are the chick, the world is our shell. We must break the shell for the world revolution." That probably requires further clarification as I mean it as a global not personal/individual meaning..We need to destroy the boomer world so that we can finally build our own in its place.

Many modern conflicts, including policical are part ot this overeaching struggle between old and new.

War in Ukraine is also part of a generational conflict. 

Zelenski is much younger than Putin. The way he does things is also modern. When elected he said he will think about young generations. Zelenski appoints people of around my age as Governors and in other important positions of power. He and Ukraine generally represent younger generations and a more modern world. 

In contrast Putin is a 70 years old gereatric who is stuck in the past, and keeps the rest of Russia in the past as well. Under his rule Millenials like us have no future. Thus this war in Ukraine is a war between new and old world order. I am happy that the new Millennial World Order seems to be winning in Ukraine. Glory to Ukraine
