How Nymphs and Sirens Work

Unfortunately, I did not read Odyssey to know for sure. However, I do not thing there are any drugs like that in Greek Mythology.

In contrast sirens and nymphs are known to have seductive powers. Story depicts it as something bad, something to be wary of. However, the idea is that siren's voices are so sweet and sexy, men just want to bang them if men hear them sing. It is just that author makes the best course of action to avoid listening to them at all, kind of like "you love, you lose"

Nymphs might as well have similar charming abilities, that attract men to them. Men see them and want to bang them forever. In both cases story clearly implies that their seductive powers are not something, ordinary women have. A woman cannot compete with siren or nymph in attractiveness.

That will make is much closer to team blue, even if with a purple ting to it.

That works in real life in much the same way, Seductive power of TrueHellDei likely cannot be matched by any ordinary mortal woman. She is like nymph equivalent of Greek Myth. Turns out Greek Myth are based on true story after all.

Overall, the idea of the story to not trust love or other emotions blindly. That sweet, cute thing can betray and hurt you, no matter how sweet and innocent she might appear.

Now I wonder how many girls will covet these nymph powers for themselves.

Differences between Leo and Saggitarius.

Simple answer: take other Fire Signs that also include Aries and Leo

Leo is fixed so they are stubborn in their ways and refuse to be swayed by things.

Sagittarius is mutable, so they are more flexible and adapt to the situation and people.

Leo is ruled by the Sun, that makes them very ego driven and self-centered. Think of the Roman God Apollo as an example of Leo energy. He loves himself a lot.

Sagittarius is ruled by Jupiter, who is carefree and expansive. Jupiter a lot more often went with the flow and took advantage of things as they came to him.

Other than that, they are much the same.

In general Roman Gods archetypes are good examples of astrological types as well. Take Diana (Artemis) for moon, the rest are what planets themselves are named for.

Karenism Ruined Dating and Relationship

All these scary stories of women doing nasty things to men in dating in relationship. The overall social; attitude that women should be allowed that, and men has to live with that. Rampart talk on how women are 'oppressed' and need more rights and privileges. If any issue or disagreement happens, society will be inclined to blame man and not woman.

All that makes dating and relationship impossible for any men who do not hate themselves.

They have only themselves to blame for allowing themselves to become Karens.

We need an anti-Karen movement.

In general society has to evolve and face reality.

Most modern women are spoiled insufferable Karens. Modern media (Hollywood) full of female Karen characters. Actual stupid girls imitate that without thinking that that is not a right way.

If that will continue everyone but self-hating masochist beta men will be single forever or date Asian women exclusively.

If you are single woman, reading this, this is the reason no one takes any interest in you.

Apparent and Hidden Traits

There was number of people whom I knew better than others around them. Not in a sexual way, but rather in a way about their true personality. They were far from what most people assumed they were.

What most people knew about them portrayed them in rather unfavorable light. However, in reality, they were much better people. However, they were the types would not show their better sides to just anyone. Sometimes not even their inner circle knew them well. Perhaps even they themselves are not truly aware that they were much better people, than most thought they were.

Likely they did not want people to take advantage of them, so their shield themselves in rather thick impregnable shell.

Maybe it is even a principle of sorts: bad people pretend they are virtuous and caring to hide their dark side and win people to their side. Good people instead hide their better traits to prevent everyone from taking advantage of them.

That by no means mean that every bad person is really good on the inside, but that is something to think of. It is important to get to know their real self, not just what they want you to think about them.

It is important to know that you can actually trust their real selves.

Asian Grandparents

I read somewhere that Asian grandparents look after their grandchildren full time, leaving their adult children with only work to take care of. If yes, that is actually makes them useful in their own way.

Western grandparents only play with kids occasionally. That leaves their adult children to do both work and childcaring. Many struggle to pay for childcare, as their retired parents spend their time in leisure and pleasure in their retirement homes. Despite that they dare to complain that Millennials are spoiled.

Why Men Want Japanese Women

If there is one thing that West does not have, it is women who know how to respect men. This simple thing makes Western men, who want their wife to respect them, to look for one in Japan or Thailand.

Unfortunately, Western parents not only do not teach their girls how to respect men, but they are also doing the opposite. They teach their girls to act like a spoiled insufferable Karen instead. That way only a self-hating masochist could possibly tolerate them.

Western parents do so because they do not want any other types of men as husbands to their daughters. They are more concerned that her future husband does not slap her, then if she makes good enough wife for him.

Sometimes they are concerned that Asian girls, who do respect men, stealing men from their girls. However instead of making their girls better wives, they instead seek to poison foreign girls with feminism.

Western girls themselves are sometimes confused by this issue. They do all their parents tell them, and yet men show no interest in them at all. Of course, when they complain to their parents, they simply tell them it is men fault for not showing any interest in then and not their fault for failing as a woman. In reality it is of course the girl's fault for listening to her Western parents and not respecting her husband.

On the other hand, men who are not self-hating masochists, look for an alternative kind of women. Stereotypes direct them towards Asian women. Japanese and Thai in particular.

Japanese culture, that emphasize politeness humbleness, further enhances Japanese women reputation for being submissive and respectful of their husbands.

It is unclear if other Asian girls are equally submissive and respectful to husbands. The information about that is confused and misleading. Clearly there are people who want to get in the way of happiness of the Western man.

Nonetheless a girl who respects husband is one thing. Western World does not produce. Because of that it is a number one import. Mail Order Brides and such exist precisely because Western men want to replace their women with one that actually able to honor, respect and obey them.

Japan and Thailand are already exporting their polite and obedient women to the west. This will only intensify in future. Polite women are something West does not produce innately due to various factors. Because of that polite women have to be imported instead.

Stereotypes and Reality

Often reality is much more complex than stereotypes. To the point when stereotypes portray a picture that is so far from reality, that it is closer to misinformation than to reality. Some of this confusion is unintentional, but it can be intentional as well.

I will use Middle Eastern culture as an example here. Back when I was a child, I watched Disney's Alladin and liked that a lot. This show has pretty much every Midde Eastern Stereotype there is.

Later in life, I met actual Arabs from Gulf countries and gradually found out that they are very different from the way Disney depicts them.

So here I will write a comparison between the two. As well as try to uncover the story of each stereotype.

We will begin with the Name itself. Alladin supposed to sound like a middle easter name and for average Western viewer it is. It sounds very much alike to a famous Saladin who fought the Crusaders around 800 years ago.

However, Saladin is Western rendering of this name, that mixes together several Arab words into one English. Proper Middle Eastern rendering should be Salah al-Din. Salah being his first name, Din is a surname and 'al-' particle simply means great and often added or removed before various middle eastern surnames. For example, Bashar Assad sometimes spelled Bashar Al-Assad as a form of respect. In more proper Arab culture movie, Lawrence of Arabia, someone re-renders his name as Al-Lawrance. Even name of Muslim God starts with this particle, implying that he is Great God.

Thus, if we re-render Alladin back, we will get Al-Laddin, Al-Addin, Al-Ladin or Al-Adin. That would imply his surname is Ladin or Adin, almost Latin. The question is if he is Roman Latin or Latin America Latin.

His attire is also far from what they wear in Gulf Countries.

In general, many of the things in this show have, Turkish, Iranian or even Indian origin. Arabs themselves likely do not think of themselves anything alike to Turks or Iranians, but from Western Perspective all three of them are grouped into Middle East.

Similarly, people outside of Europe can be inclined to group all Westerners together, even if there are big differences between French, Germans or Poles. Even in UK there are differences between English, Scots and Irish, even though most of the world simply groups them together.

The red hat is rather famous Turkish Fez. Once very popular in late Ottoman Empire, who actually considered this hat to be of Western origin for some reason. Eventually it was banned during Mustafa Kemal times as not-western enough. Nonetheless its enduring association with Middle East continues to these days.

White baggy trousers are somewhat more confusing. I think Zaporizhian Cossacks and Ukrainians in general wore them. Ukrainians however thought these trousers were of Turkish origin (actually it probably was Iranian Sirwal). Ukraine is about the same distance from, say, France as Turkey is, and they look exotic enough for a cultural icon, even if misplaced.

Finally, a vest. That is too revealing for conservative Middle Eastern attire. The closest thing would be Serb, Greek and other Balkan people. They wear it over white shirt and not over naked body though. They are not Arabs and not even Turks. However, these territories were once part of the Ottoman Empire. That led to associations of these clothes with Middle East.

Alladin has a pet monkey, called Abu. However, in Arabic, Abu means father and sometimes used as an honorific form of address. However, it is always paired with the name of son or daughter, the person is father of, such as Abu Mazen or Abu Hamza. Using Abu by itself is therefore completely inappropriate. Much less call that a monkey.

Alladin's girlfriend, Jasmine, at least has somewhat Arab name. Munis the fact that it is Yasmine and not Jasmine. However, 'J' pronounced as 'Y' in German, Dutch and many other Western Languages. Pretty much all languages, that are located between France and Russia agree that 'J' pronounced as 'Y'. That includes Turkish language as well. Only English, French and Spanish each have their own idea on how to pronounce this letter. I think Andrzej Sapkowski even trolled them back with his Yennifer. However, it is their pronunciation that spread around the world.

Jamine also has pet tiger, despite the fact that there are no tigers in Middle East. Alladin's monkey later gets turned into elephant, that are also not present in Middle East.

Her attire is also far from actual Middle Eastern. In addition to Ukrainian/Iranian sharowary, she wears bra.

Overall, her attire corresponds to a harem girl stereotype. Similar clothes are worn by other women in this show. They even make them cover their faces with semitransparent veil, inspired by niqab.

Of course, that is far from, niqab, it inspired by. Islam only mandates to cover hair, not face even though some cover face as well.

However actual traditions will not make for a good design from entertaining perspective. Catholic and Orthodox nuns as well as Orthodox Christian elderly women also cover their hair, just like Muslim women would. That also said to make them closer to God, by dressing in God's approved way. In contrast niqab seems cute and exotic. So, it is in the show.

The city in which it is set, called Agrabah, close to Indian city of Agra. The caste design is not something one can see in the Middle East. The closest thing is again Indian Taj Mahal. That is a Mausoleum rather that a palace. It was built in Persian style by a Muslim ruler of a Mughal Empire in memory of his wife.

Taj Mahal is as far from Arabs as Westminster Palace is. However, it looks impressive, so the show has something similar as a palace.

Ruler or Agrabah is called Sultan, guy in white on the right. That does have a precedent in Middle East, as ruler of Oman is also titled Sultan. However, most gulf states call their rulers Emir instead. The title was likely inspired by the Sultan of the Ottoman Empire.

He wears an oversized turban, that was likely inspired by Suleiman the Magnificent. Also, he sits on the throne that shaped like elephant.

His advisor is titled Vizier, a title mostly used by Persians and Ottomans, but has a clear Middle Eastern association in the West. His first name however is very Arab sound, Jafar.

Jafar carries Cobra shaped staff, despite cobras are non-existent in Middle East.

Finally parrot Yago is a Macaw parrot, who are native to Latin America. However somehow that fits the Middle East stereotypes.

Final element of Middle Easter Folklore is Jinn. In this story he is blue, very talkative, lives in a lamp and grants 3 wishes if you rub the lamp. Something like that was probably in 1001 Night story collection. Eventually a Disney reimagined him like that.

In conclusion I would like to add, that stereotypes of every culture are likely very far from the actual reality on the ground. People oversimplify, add color and flavor, and often borrow ideas from what is closer and more accessible to them compared to actual thing. This one must be vary of making conclusions based on stereotypes.
